Our Twilight Turtle (a device for lighting up a child's room with stars at night) stopped functioning the other day. Before throwing it away, I decided I might as well try and get to the interior of the thing to see what was wrong. The thing is as hard to get into as a real turtle, since you have to rip away the lining to access the case screws. This was the end result, after putting the case back on. Long story short, a multimeter told me that no power was getting to the LEDs inside, so I played with the connections on each battery terminal, and it turns out that the middle battery just wasn't making good contact. After switching brands, the turtle was working again. Now to reattach the liner with a hot glue gun.
