Dryer Exhaust and Heat Pump

I don't know how this happened by I didn't do it. Not only does lint get on the heat pump, but I am pretty sure efficiency is decreased in the summer when hot air blows on a heat pump trying desperately to stay cool. Not sure about the winter effects; may have to check my old physics text book. I did just replace the whole vent, framed it with a nice piece of wood taped the heck around the outside.
