I was more of an "Ice Hockey" fan, though no NES game could really get the job done in terms of actual players and the ability to play seasons; that came with SNES and the Genesis. Blades of Steel was a pretty cool game for that day and age, but who needs a hokey space game in during the intermission, replete with advertisements for other games? Give me the crazy the zamboni guys any day, along with their fat, skinny, and average weight players from all of 8 countries determined by color. Give me bench clearing fights that involve everyone and only one person goes to yon box. I do wonder why Ice Hockey didn't have that fifth player (in addition to the goalie). Oh well, more open ice for me.
