I am not really a philanthropist (you must have money to do that). However, I have no problem doing something beneficial for our nearby school that requires minimal effort. Of course, then I read the rules. The box tops must be cut exactly on the edges, must be collected in groups of fifty, and must be turned in by the end of October. I stopped short of digging through too many other people's recycling bins and still hit the 50 mark. The parade in my honor is scheduled for next week.
