The flowers have paid off! We now have tiny little green oranges growing all over our orange tree. I am too lazy to count, so I would say about 30-40. I thought they needed to grow quickly as winter approaches and it needs to come inside. However, the spouse says that it takes 7 to 10 months for the fruit to grow completely. Patience, then fresh oranges will be ours!

Orange Tree Flower Buds
Orange juice, here we come! My little souvenir from Florida is finally budding flowers. Now I have to read up on self-pollination. That sounds like some sort of sick joke, but seriously, I have to use a cotton swab and do the deed since there are no eligible bachelor orange trees in the area. UPDATE: the bees went absolutely ape-shit for the flowers when they bloomed, so no self-pollination for this guy.
